Mike McEnearney began his professional career in 1982 with the Marriott Corporation in their Corporate Planning and Acquisitions department. At Marriott Mike was responsible for the analysis of over $2 billion in corporate acquisitions and the sale hotel assets, including the Times Square Marriott and the JW Marriott in Washington DC. Mike was the first employee of the Carlyle Group, one of the largest asset management firms in the world. While at Carlyle Mike was involved in the investment of over $900 million in equity and the acquisition and financing of over $2.5 billion in assets. After The Carlyle Group, Mike continued to work in the private equity industry with Carlyle International and The Appian Group.
In 1999, after completing a career in Investment Banking, Mike was delighted to join McEnearney Associates, the firm founded by his father in 1981. Mike joined the company as Director of Property Management and was given the responsibility of growing and improving the department. Under his leadership, the department has more than tripled in size and manages a portfolio of over 600 residential properties valued in excess of $425,000,000. McEnearney Property Management has a reputation of providing the highest level of services to our clients, being responsive to the needs of our tenants and working closely with our vendors to ensure the properties we manage are maintained to the highest standard possible. McEnearney Associates Property Management currently has 15 employees and manages properties in Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland.
Mike graduated summa cum laude from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Government in 1978 and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 1981.
